Workshops for blind and poor sighted
I always like to give extra attention to blind and partially sighted people who visit my gallery.
Anything that creates a raised line is easiest for most blind people.
VISUAL LANGUAGE
If a visually impaired person cannot touch something then it doesn't exist unless you tell them about it because then they can form an image of it. But they would like to verify it and record it in their visual language.

TOUCH TOURS FOR DISABLED PEOPLE START
*Location A room that can serve as an example: The point is not only to look at the works of art in a visual way, that is to say with your eyes, but to form an image in a different way through the Artwithjolo Tactile presentation.
*Volunteers; Preferably a group of people with disabilities to advise me on my process and practice, so that when I create a new project, I ensure that I come into contact with people who have experience of what it takes to participate independently in society. People with disabilities should be involved in the planning phase of the project from the very beginning.
SENSORY CASE; Possible content:
*Headlights for less visual people.
*Magnifying glasses, black glasses/cardboard glasses.
*Gloves.
*A ribbon for the blind to use when navigating through space
* Alternative ways to display artwork.
* “Translation points” what do you mean by that?
* QR codes (to listen to the interpretation independently)
TARGET GROUP? Everyone, both disabled and non-disabled. People without disabilities can experience this by wearing black cardboard glasses.
INFORMATION TO RECORD/WRITE DURING TOUCH TOURS
*Scope; Describe how large the artwork is
*compound; Classification of artwork, the figures in the artwork/middle/background/foreground.
*details; Colors/materials used
*Volume; tell how heavy the work of art is.
Blind people can determine this through the language of touch and thereby receive a true description/interpretation of an image or an element of the world from reality.
More Hospital exhibitions
I did alot of research and I was amazed to learn that art shortens patients’ length of stay in hospitals and highly reduces patients’ need for medication. Patients of all ages!
Hospitals are a particular focus for me to exhibit my artwork.
Art eases anxiety, stress and depression for both patients and staff. My art style is easy and fun to look at, not forgetting always ready to touch. Research shows that art shortens patients’ length of stay in hospitals and highly reduces patients’ need for medication.
