My name is Monica Ntege Jolo, Born in Uganda and I am a texture artist, Art lender, Exhibitionist,workshop couch I bring my art to life through the technique of gluing and layering materials on canvas. This creates a 3 D image on a tablet.
I started creating art because I was broken, in a lot of different pieces. This was the trigger. And making art gave me and still gives me a chance to reconfigure those pieces and turn it into many different creative canvases that are positive for people to enjoy, watch, touch or rent.
Every Trauma everything that has happened, things that I have had to endure positive or negative, I turn it into something really creative.
Inspiration;
My late Father was an art collector and my sisters textile Artists. So i believe it is in my genes, that aside, i am greatly inspired by the simplicity and Colour block of abstract African Art. I have attended and been part of numerous exhibitions where i keep finding inspiration through mingling with fellow artists . It is Empowering!
