My name is Monica Ntege Jolo. I am Member of FRIA, a proffesional association of visual artists in the Netherlands,I am a texture/tactile artist specializing in art that is meant to be touched.
In addition to building an art collection, I work with a daycare center as a facilitator and have founded my own company, specialized in providing texture workshops for everyone:
Making Art started as a coping Mechanism to deal with various traumas, behind the canvas was a great place for me to create happiness for me and others that expirience it!
There are people responsible for making this world a better place, as an artists i make the world a little bit more beautiful which feels meaningful on different levels. I would like to exhibit in all kinds of spaces while i build my collection.
Inspiration;
My late Father was an art fan and collector an art collector so it is in my genes , that aside, i am greatly inspired by the healing power that art continuously has on me plus the impact it art has on other people. People that have come in contact with my work have expirienced feelings of Calmess, Happiness, Satisfaction, Pleasure, Love, Discomfort and Familiarity. It is Empowering!
I have so far been part of Five art exhibitions within Friesland and i am working a bigger art collection before making a solo exhibition/sell in 2026
