My name is Monica Ntege Jolo. I am Member of FRIA, a proffesional association of visual artists in the Netherlands, i work in childcare and also guide process based texture art workshops. My country of origin is Uganda(The pearl of Africa) where my love and knowledge of texture art comes from. Ten years ago i relocated to the Netherlands. where i continue to pursue my passions.
Making Art started as a coping Mechanism to deal with abuse, homelessness and several traumas, behind the canvas was a great place for me to hide and create happiness!
Many canvases and exhibitions later, Making art it is no longer a hobby but a proffesion reaching wider audiences. Its a dream come true.
Inspiration;
I am greatly inspired by the healing power art continuously has on me plus the impact it art has on other people. People that have come in contact with my work have expirienced feelings of Calmess, Happiness, Satisfaction, Pleasure, Love, Discomfort and Familiarity. It is Empowering!
I have so far been part of Five art exhibitions within Friesland and i am working a bigger art collection before making a solo exhibition/sell in 2025
